There are several factors that go into pricing stump grinding services. We base our pricing primarily on stump size (diameter), root system complexity, location/accessibility, and labor required.
Most jobs are straightforward and can be quickly estimated using the general pricing guide below. As a locally family owned and operated business, we typically offer rates that are 10–20% more competitive than larger companies, while still delivering premium-quality service.
How Pricing Works

Size: Based on the stump's widest diameter.

Depth: Includes grinding 4–6 inches below grade.

Roots: Large root flares and surface roots may require additional grinding.

Access: Tight spaces, fencing, slopes, rocks, utilities, and other site conditions can affect the estimate.

Simple. Economical. Gets the stump out of the way.
We grind the stump below grade, use the available grindings and soil to backfill the stump area, and rough level the site. Excess grindings may remain onsite unless removal is inclued in your proposal.

Option 2: Grinding Cleanup & Topsoil

After grinding, we remove excess larger grindings and wood chips as needed, prepare the area, and add topsoil as necessary to bring the work area back to grade.
